THE WORK: The work includes:

• Investigating a business problem and forming a hypothesis.
• Writing and deploying algorithms to test that hypothesis.
• Identifying, gathering, organizing, and cleaning the required data.
• Running and assessing the results of the code, and interpreting meaning.
• Revising algorithms and repeating until they can produce consistent, reliable insights from their work. 

REQUIRED: Applicants must be very strong in the following skills: 

• SQL
• Python or R, and related machine learning frameworks.
• Applied data science methods and machine learning algorithms
• Cloud computing environments
• A wide range of quantitative analytics/data science methods
• Deploying and optimizing models in production  

DESIRED: In addition, it would be great if you had some background in: 

• BI tools and platforms

COMPENSATION: Varies depending on client, location, and level of experience.
