208: Lead Healthcare Payer Data Engineer: Revolutionize Third-Party Claims Recovery
Our client, a trailblazing Healthcare Analytics company, has asked us for help finding a super-strong Lead Data Engineer to Oversee third-party liability recovery initiatives. The chosen candidate must be intimately familiar with health insurance payer processes and have a solid background in healthcare billing, claims, and patient accounting. A background in Third-Party Liability (TPL) recovery data management would be especially helpful.

THE WORK: This role involves designing and implementing ETL processes to streamline clinical and billing data integration, especially for large datasets using ETL and related tools like Tableau and SQL. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing ETL and data validation, quality assurance, and HIPAA compliance processes; developing analytical models to identify TPL recovery opportunities; and automating TPL analytics. Additionally, you'll provide technical leadership, guide a team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn business needs into actionable data solutions, including creating reports and dashboards to drive insights and recovery strategies.
LOCATION: The chosen candidate can work 100% remotely anywhere in the United States
MODE: This is a full-time, permanent position.
REQUIRED: Applicants must have or be very strong in the following:
B.S. or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of experience in healthcare data management, with a focus on payer claims management. TPL recovery experience with be a huge benefit.
Strong proficiency with ETL tools, data integration software (e.g., Informatica, Talend), and SQL.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare data coding standards (ICD, CPT, DRG), claims workflows, and patient finance/accounting systems and TPL processes.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations (HIPAA) and security best practices in healthcare.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
DESIRED: In addition, it would be great if you had:
Experience with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and scalable data architectures.
Background in .NET, SQL Server, or API development
COMPENSATION: This client is looking for the right person and is willing to offer a competitive salary and benefits package in excess of $150K.
